Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 12, 2026

1. The service

MakeMB is a web application for compressing and splitting PDF files. All file processing happens locally in your browser; your files are never uploaded to our servers. Files up to 100 MB per PDF are supported, a practical limit for in-browser processing that we may adjust over time. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You must provide your name and a valid email address to create an account, and verify your email via the link we send before you can log in. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or disable accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

3. Credits and payments

New accounts receive 10 free credits. Additional credits are available as top-ups processed by our payment provider, Helcim: $15 CAD for 90 credits, or any larger whole-dollar amount at a rate of 6 credits per dollar ($15 minimum). All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclusive of tax; 13% HST is added at checkout. Charges will appear on your card statement as “Moga Web”, the company that built and operates MakeMB. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and JCB. One credit is consumed per processed file. Credits do not expire.

Credits are non-transferable and, except where required by law, non-refundable once consumed. If a technical fault on our side consumes a credit without producing a usable result, contact us and we will restore it.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use MakeMB to process files you do not have the right to use, attempt to circumvent credit metering, probe or disrupt the service, or resell access without our written consent.

5. Your files

Because processing is client-side, we never receive, store, or claim any rights over your files. You retain all ownership and responsibility for the content you process.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep MakeMB available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice; unused purchased credits will be refunded pro rata if the service is discontinued.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Always keep your original files — processing produces new copies and never modifies your originals, but we are not liable for data loss on your device.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced to signed-in users before taking effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
